Covid 19 – Parental/carer update – 16.03.2020

Following the recent government guidance and the press conference this evening, I can confirm that the Academy will remain open for all pupils.

I will continue to update parents across the course of the week should current arrangements change.

All pupils should continue to attend the Academy as normal and report to their form as normal at 8.30am.

Finally, can I kindly request that parents do not attempt to contact the academy for further updates or to request medical advice at this time. As and when further updates are available these will be communicated with parents/carers.

Thank you in advance of your support at this difficult time, we are working extremely hard to provide the necessary continuation of educational provision for our community.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
