2024/2025: Admissions Policy Consultation
The Board of Trustees of the Accord Multi Academy Trust is currently consulting on proposed changes to Horbury Academy’s Admissions Policy for the 2024/2025 school year. Please see attached letter for further details regarding these proposals.

Applicants to Horbury Academy would continue to apply using Wakefield Council’s online application system. 

This consultation will run from 5 December 2022 through until 27 January 2023.  

Responses to the consultation are invited to be made to Mrs N Walker, Principal by 27 January 2023 using the e-mail enquiries@horbury.accordmat.org.

The Academy’s proposed Admissions Policy is available on the Academy’s website. A paper copy is also available on request from the Academy by contacting 01924 282740.

We look forward to receiving any responses from interested parties and in response will decide on our final admission arrangements. Those decisions will be published on our website by 15th March 2023.

Following consultation the final policy for admission into the 2022/23 academic year can be found below. Applicants to Horbury Academy would continue to apply using Wakefield Council’s online application system.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
