This special event has a very specific focus. It’s about providing information, guidance and support ahead of this most crucial year to support your children in order to achieve the best grades that they can by the end of the summer term.

This event will run from 6pm until 7.20pm for x-band pupils and 6.40pm until 8pm for y-band pupils. We would like all pupils and their parents to attend this event,

As part of the evening there will be key note speeches in the hall and a marketplace style event with subject specialists and Post-16 providers who will be on hand to help with any questions you might have. The whole evening is designed to equip parents, carers and pupils with the tools they need to be successful, with a particular focus on English, Mathematics and Science.

Year 11 pupils have made an excellent start to their final year. It is pleasing to see so many pupils working so hard and they clearly recognise the significance of achieving good qualifications. Staff in the academy have commented on their enthusiasm, focus and motivation. This replicates the end of Year 10 when they took their first set of PPE examinations and performed very well.

Key to their continued success is the guidance and support offered by school and, crucially, parents and carers. We hope that this event will be really useful in enabling parents and carers to support their child in making the very most from the time that remains here.

Thank you once more for your on-going support.

Mr B Gilder
Vice Principal

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
