MCAS - Parental Communications
What is MCAS?
At Horbury Academy we make use of My Child at School (MCAS) as our preferred platform for communicating with parents and carers. This platform links directly to our academy data systems to ensure contact details are up to date and information is received quickly.
What do you use MCAS for?
- Quick messages regarding your child e.g. ‘above and beyond’ messages from staff
- Letters, both personalised letters for your child or links to whole school letters
- Reports e.g. your child’s most recent data report
- Making Parents Evening appointments
- Tracking your child’s attendance
- Updating personal details for you and your child
- Accessing your child’s timetable
How do I access and use MCAS?
Parents/carers need to sign up to this system and it is recommended that any adult with parental responsibility for the child does so. You can log in via their website, but many parents and carers find it easier to download the MCAS app for their mobile device.
To set you up with an account, the academy will need your email address. Once your account is created you’ll receive an email containing a link to allow you set your password.
Once complete, login to the app or website using your email address and password.
If you need an account, please contact enquiries@horbury.accordmat.org.
You can access the web version or download the app via the links below. If you are viewing on a PC, you can scan the QR code below to go directly to the MCAS website.
There is a user guide and FAQs to help you use MCAS below. Please note, this user guide covers the full functionality of MCAS, which we will continue to phase in. Therefore, not all of the modules discussed in the guide are currently activated.
For any queries or support with using MCAS please contact data@horbury.accordmat.org.
