Results

The class of 2022 at Horbury Academy recorded the following headline outcomes:

74% of students gained grade 4 qualifications in both English and Mathematics with 58% of students securing grade 5 ‘strong pass’ in both subjects.  We achieved an Attainment 8 score of 50.79 and a Progress 8 Score of +0.16 for our year 11 in 2022.

The percentage of students entered for the English Baccalaureate (Ebacc) was 12%.  To enter the Ebacc, students must take up to 8 GCSEs across the 5 subject ‘pillars’ of English Language and English Literature, maths, sciences, a language and History or Geography.  In 2019, 11% of students achieved the Ebacc at grade 4 or above and 10% achieved it at grade 5 or above.

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
